Hi Jim,
To be perfectly honest if the two of you expressed that you are serious about each other in a way that is more than just a friend, if it were me then I would not be asking you relationship advice to use with other guys who I would be seeing; in fact if I was really serious about a guy and he was about me, I am not the kind of person who would go out with other guys, but I’m “Old Fashioned.”
To me, that is a hurtful thing to do. It would be like you doing the same to her, do you do that? How does it make you feel when she asks those things? It would be like a guy or girl showing up with another girl/guy friend in front of the other just because you agreed that you would see and date other people while the two of you are on hold…that hurts too.
I’m not sure what you are feeling or what kind of relationship, if any, you have with her. You originally said the two of you were just friends, did you actually tell her that she is more than that to you, how would or does she know? You had said that both of you decided to see and date other people so how serious can you really be about her? It sounds like you set yourself up in a friend only situation for now since you are not in a committed relationship with her, so for right now that’s all you may be to her in her eyes unless you have let her know otherwise.
