Will the past repeat itself?

For ages - years in fact - my long distance boyfriend have planned him coming over to see me. We’ve recently got back together and agreed to give the relationship another chance - he told me last week after we’d agreed this that he’d signed a contract to work on a cruise ship for 6 months and i’m a bit anxious. He says i won’t lose him but the reason for the last time we split up was because he had a demanding new job that didn’t leave much time for us as a couple. I’m scared that history will repeat itself and that after a week or two he’ll turn around and tell me he doesn’t love me anymore like what pretty much happened last time.
What do you think i should do?
